FleetSafe Zambia
The driver is not the whole fleet-safety system.
FleetSafe Zambia helps organisations find weaknesses in vehicle control, driver management, journeys, records and leadership before a serious crash exposes them.
Start with a Fleet Safety Risk Review. ZRST will define any training, policy work or longer support after the risk is clear.
FleetSafe Zambia is an independent ZRST service. It is not an RTSA inspection, licence or compliance certificate.
Start with the problem
Do not buy training before the main risk is known.
A crash may expose weak maintenance, unsafe schedules, poor supervision, fatigue, missing records or management pressure. Driver training cannot repair every one of those failures.
Fleet Safety Risk Review
A defined review of the fleet, records, controls, routes and management duties.
Targeted corrective work
Training, policy support, route checks or control changes tied to a confirmed gap.
Follow-up support
A later check of agreed actions, evidence gaps and work still left open.
Zambian framework
Five parts of fleet safety.
ZRST structures the review around the five areas in the RTSA Fleet Safety Management Guide. The detailed scope changes with the vehicles, operation, routes and applicable rules.
Drivers and riders
Authority, competence, conduct, fatigue and supervision.
Vehicles
Suitability, inspections, defects, maintenance and records.
Journeys
Routes, schedules, speed, rest, weather and emergencies.
Health and safety
Work-related road risk, incidents, near misses and post-crash action.
Management
Leadership, policy, budgets, contractors and corrective work.
The risk review
What ZRST may examine.
- fleet profile, routes and operating purpose;
- driver or rider authority and competence records;
- vehicle checks, defects and maintenance controls;
- journey, speed and fatigue controls;
- crash, near-miss and corrective-action records; and
- management roles, policy and reporting.
What the client may receive
- an agreed document and interview sample;
- a five-part gap matrix;
- priority findings and evidence limits;
- actions for management, with owners and dates; and
- a written report and management briefing.
The agreed scope matters. ZRST will not describe a limited risk review as a statutory audit or offer legal assurance it is not authorised to give.
Who it is for
Any organisation that creates road risk through work.
FleetSafe can be scoped for companies, mines, logistics firms, NGOs, schools, public bodies, passenger operators and delivery-rider employers. A sales fleet, school bus, truck fleet and motorcycle operation will not receive the same checklist.
How an assignment works
Four clear steps.
Scope
Confirm the fleet, sites, records, concern, timing and decision needed.
Review
Check the agreed records, people, vehicles, routes or sites.
Report
Set out the gaps, limits, urgent actions and management choices.
Improve
Commission only the training or corrective work the review supports.
Evidence and limits
Report the work by its real scope.
ZRST brings road-safety training, rider work, field assessment, research and policy experience to FleetSafe. Attendance, a completed review or an action plan does not prove that crashes have fallen. A casualty claim needs exposure data, a baseline and follow-up.
Pricing
The quotation follows the scope.
Price depends on fleet size, sites, records, fieldwork, travel, training and report depth. A small single-site review should not carry the same scope or cost as a multi-depot fleet assignment.
Send these details first
- fleet type, size and operating sites;
- drivers, riders and people or goods carried;
- recent crashes, near misses or main concern;
- available records and current controls; and
- required date and procurement deadline.
Request a Fleet Safety Risk Review
A policy has little value when deadlines, budgets and supervision contradict it.
Tell ZRST what the fleet does, where it operates and what has caused concern. We will define the right first scope.
Contact ZRST
Do not send medical records, national registration numbers or crash-victim details through the first contact.
