Partner with Zambia Road Safety Trust
We work with partners who want road safety results, not visibility. If a project cannot say what changed, we would rather not sign it.
A partnership with ZRST is a working relationship with Zambia’s road safety implementation partner: a registered Zambian trust with published audited accounts, a stated method, documented results and a habit of reporting evidence in both directions, including where a result falls short.
The company ZRST keeps.
ZRST’s partners include Zambian government institutions and councils, two European Union Horizon research consortia, United Nations agencies and funds, international foundations, universities on three continents, and corporate partners whose sponsored school zones now carry their name at the gate.
We name partners only where their role is documented, and we credit results to the partnership that produced them, not to ourselves alone. The full record, with every partner’s documented role and the evidence behind each result, lives on the Programmes & Impact page; how we work day to day is set out in The ZRST Method; and our governance, board and five years of audited statements are on the Governance page. This page repeats none of it. It exists to answer one question: what kind of partner will ZRST be to you?
Four questions before any agreement.
Every partnership we sign, whatever its size, must answer these before the first kwacha moves.
What road safety risk are we addressing?
Who is most exposed to that risk?
What practical action will reduce the risk?
How will we show what changed?
What every ZRST partner receives, and what we ask in return.
In return we ask for three things: patience with public approval processes, because we do not bypass the authorities who own Zambia’s roads; appetite for honest results rather than guaranteed ones; and a named person on your side who can make decisions. Partnerships fail on missing counterparts more often than on missing money.
Four kinds of partner, four dedicated pages.
Each page below sets out what that partnership looks like in practice: what you can fund or commission, what ZRST delivers, and what evidence you receive. This page will not repeat them.
Tell us the problem, and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
One message through our contact form is enough to begin. The most useful first messages tell us four things:
- The location or community you care about.
- The road safety problem as you see it.
- The road users most affected.
- The kind of support you can provide, funding, commissioning, technical or institutional.
We respond to every serious partnership enquiry, including the ones where our honest answer is that we are not the right organisation for the job.
