Government & Councils

Road safety must be planned, funded and delivered locally.

ZRST supports ministries, agencies, city councils and local authorities with practical Safe System road safety work: school-zone safety, safer walking and cycling, road safety audits, speed management, data interpretation, stakeholder engagement and implementation support.

Data-led local action saves lives. Councils do not need more speeches. They need risk maps, funded priorities, safer streets and accountable delivery.

Zambian Context

The road safety burden is local, visible and measurable.

Local authorities are where road danger becomes a daily public-service problem: school children crossing unsafe roads, pedestrians walking without footpaths, bus stops without safe access, markets spilling into traffic, and fast vehicles entering community spaces.
