26th September 2025, marked the successful conclusion of the Safer Journeys to School programme, a joint effort by the Zambia Road Safety Trust (ZRST) and YANGO.
Over the past five days, we started our activities at Mumuni Primary School, then continued with engagements at New Mandevu Primary, Twatasha, Arthur Wina, and concluded at Chilenje South Secondary School.
The programme focused on:
Road Safety Education – Equipping pupils with practical knowledge on pedestrian safety, traffic signs, and responsible road use.
Infrastructure Improvements – Installation of clearer signage, zebra crossings, and speed humps to improve safety around school zones.
While this week concludes our activities, the journey toward safer school environments continues.
A big thank you to YANGO , for making this possible.
