We are honored to have been invited to participate in the national workshop on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PRSEA) and Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (SEAH), which took place from 2nd to 6th June at Golden Sonnet Hotel in Kabwe.
At the invitation of the workshop organizers, Zambia Road Safety Trust (ZRST) was privileged to make a presentation on Sexual Harassment in Public Transport in Zambia and to showcase our work in addressing this critical issue. We highlighted the urgent need to ensure safety and dignity for all, especially women and girls, as they access public transport services.
We are proud to have been assigned a key role in the development of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials and modules, specifically:
- Taking the lead in designing posters on Sexual Harassment in Public Transport
- Supporting the development of posters and brochures on SEAH and Sexual Harassment
This initiative marks a significant step forward in our commitment to creating safer, inclusive, and respectful transport systems in Zambia. We thank the organizers for recognizing the importance of this work and for inviting ZRST to contribute meaningfully to national efforts aimed at ending sexual exploitation and abuse.
Together, we can drive change. Together, we can ensure safety for all.
