Today, we stand together as a nationThe Zambia Road Safety Trust (ZRST) joins the commemoration of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross.
This year’s theme, “Lost Talents,” is a painful reminder that every road crash steals more than a life: it steals a dream, a future, a gift that our country will never see again.
🕯️ We remember the children who never grew up.
🕯️ We remember the parents, the breadwinners, the leaders, the artists, the innovators-talents lost too soon.
🕯️ We stand with families who carry invisible wounds every day.
But remembrance alone is not enough.

We must act.
We call on every driver, every rider, every pedestrian, every policymaker:
Slow down. Buckle up. Put the phone away. Respect life.
Because one careless moment can erase a lifetime of potential.

As ZRST, we remain committed to pushing for safer roads, stronger policies, and a future where no family lights a candle because of a preventable crash.
