Lusaka: Hon. Yamfwa D. Mukanga, MP, Minister for Transport, works, supply and Communications will be the Guest of Honour at the Graduation Ceremony of 50 youths who were trained by the Zambia Red Cross in First-Aid.
The trained youth will provide First-Aid to victims of Road Crashes in Lusaka in their local communities. The youths will be on stand-by 24 hours 7 days a week to respond to road crashes and provide first-aid to crash victims where time can make the difference between life and death.
As First Responders, the youths, will arrive at the scene of crash and immediately remove the victim away from dangerous situations in a medically approved way without aggravating the injuries suffered already and avoid preventable death and disability by providing appropriate first-aid.
The graduation Ceremony will be held at National Project for Poverty Reduction, Central Stores (Next to ZESCO HEAD-OFFICE) Plot No: 4800, Great East Road, on Friday, 27th June 2014 at 14:00 Hrs.

The Zambian Road Safety Trust (ZRST) is complimenting efforts by the Government in addressing road crashes in Zambia. And among several interventions both long and short that the Trust is working on is providing first aid to crash victims which is a crucial part of saving lives, in all stages of life and in every section of society.
