In collaboration with Walk 21, the Zambia Road Safety Trust (ZRST) conducted a comprehensive walkability assessment study in Lusaka as part of the Trans-safe Project. Utilizing the innovative Walkability App, our trained surveyors collected essential data on pedestrian experiences across ten bustling areas within the city. This collaborative mapping effort aimed to enhance urban walkability and guide policy decisions for safer, more accessible public spaces. Study sites included major thoroughfares such as Katima Mulilo Road, Great East Road, and Cairo Road, spanning various urban contexts from commercial hubs to residential neighbourhoods.
