The Be Road Safe Africa Campaign was successfully launched on 15 March 2024 in Lusaka, Zambia. Various stakeholders played a pivotal role including Eng. Allen Mate Board Chairman of the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA), who spoke on behalf of the guest of honour, Honourable Frank Tayali, Minister of Transport. It comes at a time when road traffic injuries are the leading cause of death among children and young people worldwide, with Africa having the highest road death rates.
This initiative has been made possible with technical support from Puma Energy and AMEND. Their efforts have paved the way for enhancing road safety awareness in Zambia.
