There are more than 20,000 road traffic accidents every year in Zambia, resulting in over 2,000 deaths and exponentially more
serious injuries and disabilities. Road safety is a community issue. Have you ever thought what you can do to stop this menace? Have you ever thought how you could save yourself and your loved ones from this epidemic? Have you ever realised that you have a great responsibility in stopping this evil?
It is very unfortunate that most of us do not realize that road traffic accidents will happen to us until it ‘really’ happens. By the time it really happens to you, you will not be in a position to do anything to save yourself or others who are involved in it.
Zambian Road Safety Trust is looking for volunteers to promote and deliver a range of road safety training to adults and children alike. Our target is to have over 10,000 volunteers across our country.
If you are a young person, a parish or a community leader, or an individual or group who is concerned about Road Safety and have a few hours to spare you can apply to become a Road Safety Volunteer.
As a Road Safety Volunteer you will receive full training in First Aid, Road Safety rules, equipment and ongoing support from the Zambian Road Safety Trust Team.
